The Science of Covers

I’ve always been a huge sucker for cover songs. There’s just something so exhilarating about a rap song turned alternative (hello, The Fray’s take on Kanye’s, ‘Heartless‘) or any song, for that matter, turned on its head into something completely different. The latest victim? Coldplay’s ‘The Scientist’ was ripped into by  Kris Allen and Allison Iraheta. The video hasn’t gone viral yet, so I’m hoping this blog post might give it a little push. This song has been on repeat for days now…I really can’t get enough. Give it a shot, everyone. If you’re bored by Kris Allen’s melancholy opening, just wait until Allison sinks her teeth into it in the second verse. And if anyone know where I can find this gem for download, let me know!
